Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and was finished in 1903. The watch is powered by Elgin’s in-house 15 jewel Grade 267 movement, which was produced for a few years between 1902-1904. The movement features 15 jewels, beautifully decorated ratchet and crown wheels, an intricate pattern on the balance, and beautiful damaskeening. The movement has been restored and custom refinished with blue accents. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components. The hands have not been restored and are in their original golden color in the Louis XIV style. The brass jewel settings have been restored to their original golden color, and the black, enamel letting was restored by hand.

The Elgin dial is porcelain-enamel, in excellent condition, and features Roman numerals and Arabic numerals on the subdial. The dial is beautifully decroated with patterns in gold and silver, which provide elegant detail to the timepiece. Encased in a newly designed 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, this timepiece ensures comfortable wear for people that prefer a smaller wrist profile. The case, equipped with gaskets, offers water resistance up to 10 meters, although it is advisable to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. Having undergone thorough servicing, this timepiece is ready for your upcoming adventures.
