Civil War Era Sterling Silver Waltham pocket watch from 1865

American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

This Waltham timepiece was manufactured in Waltham, Massachusetts and was finished in 1865. The watch is powered by the A.T. & Co movement, which is a 15 jewel movement that is both key wind and key set. The movement has been restored and serviced keeping everything original. The blue, thermal accents were added by Waltham at the time of manufacture. The gilt finishing on the movement has been careful restored to showcase its beautiful gold colored glow. The Waltham dial is in excellent condition for its age and is void of any hairlines or chips. The hands are original and have been meticulously restored to their deep blue steel color. The watch is cased in the original sterling-silver case, which was gently polished to remove silver oxidation. The watch is key wind and key set and we will include a key to operate the watch.
