Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This Hamilton timepiece, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1949, holds special historical significance. Powered by the 917 grade—a 17-jewel in-house movement produced between 1936 and 1954—this watch represents Hamilton's precision craftsmanship. The movement components were designed to be antimagnetic, incorporating low iron content, a feature that became increasingly important in watchmaking to prevent movements from easily magnetizing as electronics became more prevalent. This low iron content means we are unable to apply thermal coloring to the movement hardware, preserving its original appearance. The watch hands are in their original golden color, perfectly complementing the metal dial, which features golden applied indices that glisten beautifully in the light. The golden indices and golden hands look exceptional together, creating a stunning visual effect against the dial.

The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
