Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This Hamilton timepiece, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1939, is powered by the 917 grade—a 17-jewel in-house movement produced between 1936 and 1954. Notably, a pre-1940s 917 is rare, as the majority were produced after 1940. This watch exemplifies Hamilton's precision craftsmanship. The movement components were designed to be antimagnetic, incorporating low iron content. Because of this low iron content, we are unable to apply thermal coloring to the movement hardware, preserving its original appearance. The watch hands retain their original heat blued finish and have not been restored, maintaining their authentic charm. The dial is in excellent condition, showcasing incredible golden numerals that glisten beautifully in the light. The heat blued hands offer exceptional contrast against the dial, creating a truly stunning visual effect.

The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures. Because of our dedication to preserving history, the original 10 karat rolled gold pocket watch case will be included as well.
