American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

This Waltham porcelain-enamel dial is in flawless condition. Golden motifs frame the numerals, a soft light-blue center features an elegant gold medallion, and blue dots mark each hour around the perimeter. The result is a dial that feels intricate yet clean and highly legible—a rare find in this condition. Beneath the dial beats Waltham’s 15-jewel Seaside grade movement, crafted in Waltham, Massachusetts, and completed in 1899. Produced from 1896 to 1912, this movement features an exposed mainspring barrel and striking damaskeening (Geneva stripes). Every component has been meticulously refinished in our Little Rock, Arkansas workshop. Screws and hardware show vivid blue accents achieved through precise, hand-applied thermal treatment — a traditional watchmaking technique that enhances both corrosion resistance and visual appeal (read more here). Jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were each individually hand-polished to restore their original golden sheen. This historic Waltham pairs a vibrant original dial with a meticulously refinished movement that exemplifies the craftsmanship of late-19th-century American watchmaking.

The timepiece is housed in a 40 mm surgical-grade 316L stainless steel conversion case—offering one of the most wearable fits available for any conversion. Front, caseback, and crown gaskets provide water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before engaging in water activities. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
