American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

This timepiece is housed in our 40 mm Heritage Bronze conversion case, expertly machined from solid bronze with a 93% copper content. The alloy carries warm rose-gold undertones that gradually evolve with wear, developing a natural patina that makes each piece unique. From the coined-edge to the precisely proportioned lugs and bronze crown, every surface is designed to age naturally, creating a living finish that reflects the story of its wearer. Inside is a Waltham movement completed in 1903 in Waltham, Massachusetts. This 16-jewel caliber features an exposed mainspring barrel and damaskeening that catches and reflects light across the plates. Every component was carefully restored in our Little Rock, Arkansas workshop. Screws and steel hardware were thermally blued by hand over an open flame, a traditional technique that produces deep iridescent blue tones (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand-polished to restore their original golden luster. The porcelain-enamel railroad dial remains in remarkable condition, with bold Arabic numerals, a crisp outer minute track, and the original Waltham signature centered on the dial. The result is a cohesive pairing of nineteenth-century American craftsmanship and modern engineering, an antique movement reborn in bronze and designed to evolve beautifully with time and wear.

The movement is set in a our 40 mm conversion case crafted from solid bronze. This size offers a balanced fit on the wrist, making it one of the most versatile proportions available in any conversion. The case is built with crown and caseback gaskets, tested to 50 meters of water resistance, though removal before swimming or showering is recommended. Fully serviced and regulated, this watch is ready for years of reliable wear and appreciation.
