American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

The porcelain-enamel dial on this Waltham presents in pristine condition, characterized by Roman numerals that stand out with striking contrast against the crisp white surface of the dial. The outer minute track features a clean layout with prominent markers at five-minute intervals, enhancing readability without disrupting the classic aesthetic. Originally corroded hands were meticulously restored—polished to a mirror finish and then individually thermally blued over an alcohol lamp to achieve a vivid iridescent blue. This deep tone pairs elegantly with the dial and complements the flowing cursive Waltham signature. Powering the piece is Waltham’s 15-jewel Seaside grade movement, completed in 1906 in Waltham, Massachusetts. Produced from 1896 to 1912, this movement is known for its exposed mainspring barrel and distinctive Geneva stripe damaskeening—a hallmark of early American craftsmanship. Every component in this example was fully refinished in our Little Rock workshop: screws and hardware were heat-blued by hand (read more here), while jewel settings, the gear train, and balance assembly were individually hand-polished to revive their original golden luster. This piece is a testament to the enduring appeal of American watchmaking—a harmoniously restored blend of functional precision and timeless design that’s ready to be enjoyed for another century.

The timepiece is housed in our 40 mm surgical-grade 316L stainless steel conversion case—one of the most balanced and wearable sizes for any American conversion. The case features both crown and caseback gaskets, offering water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is best to remove the watch before swimming or submerging it in water. Fully serviced and tested, the piece is ready for years of reliable performance and everyday wear.
