American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Crafted in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1907, this timepiece features a clean railroad porcelain enamel dial. Unlike many railroad dials of the period that incorporated multiple colors and decorative elements, this example is executed entirely in black with bold Arabic numerals and a clean minute track marked by bold indices every five minutes. The design is purposeful and restrained, relying on proportion and clarity rather than ornamentation. The result is a dial that feels timeless, highly legible, and quietly elegant without ever feeling busy. Inside beats a Waltham 16 jewel movement produced between 1898 and 1915. Distinguished by its exposed mainspring barrel and dramatic damaskeening, the movement captures light with impressive depth and texture. Every component has been meticulously refinished in our workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas. Screws and steel hardware were thermally blued by hand over an alcohol lamp (read more here), while the jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to restore their rich golden tone. The original hands were mirror polished to remove corrosion, then thermally colored by hand. The heat-blued hands provide exceptional contrast against the dial, completing a design that is defined by clarity, balance, and understated beauty.

The timepiece is housed in our 40 mm surgical-grade 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed for one of the best fits available in any conversion. Engineered with both caseback and crown gaskets, it offers water resistance up to 50 meters (though it is recommended to remove the watch before water activities). Fully serviced and carefully inspected, this watch is ready for your next adventure.
