American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Crafted in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1903, this timepiece showcases a porcelain-enamel dial unlike any we have seen before — a stunning display of artistry from the height of American watchmaking. The center features a delicate floral motif in blue, violet, green, and red, while a dragonfly drifts gracefully across the surface as if frozen in motion. Elegant Arabic numerals are framed by golden flourishes, with a minute track defined by golden dots at each interval and brighter silver accents every five minutes. The Waltham signature rests above the sub-seconds dial at 6:00, confirming its authenticity as a genuine factory original — not a repainted or embellished piece, but a true one-of-one creation. Inside beats Waltham’s 16-jewel Model 1890 movement, produced between 1898 and 1915 and completed in 1903. Distinguished by its exposed mainspring barrel and dramatic damaskeening, the movement captures light with remarkable depth and texture. Every component has been meticulously refinished: screws and hardware were hand-thermally blued over an open flame (read more here), and the jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually polished to restore their warm golden glow. A remarkable example of American horology — uniting precision, authenticity, and artistry in equal measure.

The timepiece is housed in our 40 mm surgical-grade 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed for one of the best fits available in any conversion. Engineered with both caseback and crown gaskets, it offers water resistance up to 50 meters (though it is recommended to remove the watch before water activities). Fully serviced and carefully inspected, this watch is ready for your next adventure.
