American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

The interplay between the porcelain-enamel dial and our Heritage Bronze case is striking. With its 93 percent copper content, the bronze carries a natural warmth that leans toward soft rose gold tones and will deepen with age. That warmth echoes the elegance of the Roman numerals and the cursive Waltham signature, creating a cohesive visual language across the piece. This is one of those combinations where the case does more than frame the dial. It brings it to life. Beneath the dial sits Waltham’s Seaside Grade, completed in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1906. This 15 jewel movement was produced between 1896 and 1912 and has long been regarded as one of Waltham’s most reliable 6 size calibers. The movement was restored and refinished in our workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas. Screws and steel components were thermally colored one at a time over an alcohol lamp using slow, controlled heat, producing deep blue accents while improving corrosion resistance (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to restore their original golden tone. Finished with its original heat-blued hands, the watch comes together with a clean, cohesive appearance that feels every bit as elegant today as it did when it left the factory more than a century ago.

The movement is set in our custom 40 mm conversion case crafted from solid bronze. This size offers a balanced fit on the wrist, making it one of the most versatile proportions available in any conversion. The case is built with crown and caseback gaskets, tested to 50 meters of water resistance, though removal before swimming or showering is recommended. Fully serviced and regulated, this watch is ready for years of reliable wear and appreciation.
