Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The Hamilton dial immediately draws attention with its intricate guilloché center pattern, surrounded by bold Arabic numerals that command presence without overwhelming the design. A textured perimeter frames the composition, while the outer minute track marks precise one-minute intervals—punctuated with heavier markings every five—for clarity and rhythm. The result is a dial that feels cohesive, balanced, and highly legible. Beneath it beats Hamilton’s 902 grade movement, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1925. This 19-jewel in-house caliber was produced for only a few short years between 1924 and 1928, with just 9,700 units made. The movement has been fully restored and expertly refinished, with each screw and piece of hardware thermally blued by hand—a traditional technique that enhances both corrosion resistance and visual contrast (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand-polished to revive their original golden luster, while the watch hands remain in their original factory finish, retaining a soft heat-blued tone that ties the composition together beautifully.
The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
