Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This Hamilton from 1927 features a sunburst guilloché dial that is simply breathtaking. As light moves across the surface, the refraction pattern changes, creating one of the most dynamic dial aesthetics we have ever encountered. The sunburst pattern radiates outward from the sub-seconds register, where the Hamilton signature is placed, giving the dial depth and symmetry. The original hour and minute hands were mirror polished to remove corrosion and then individually blued over an alcohol lamp to impart the iridescent heat-blued hue they had when originally manufactured. The result is incredible contrast against the guilloché dial, further enhancing the visual character of the watch face. Beneath the dial beats Hamilton’s 902, one of the rare motor barrel variants produced in this size. This 19 jewel in-house movement was manufactured for only a few short years between 1924 and 1928, with just 9,700 units made. The movement has been fully restored and refinished, with each screw and piece of hardware thermally blued by hand, a traditional technique that enhances corrosion resistance and visual contrast (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to revive their original golden luster. The result is a timepiece that feels just as dynamic and captivating today as it did when it left the Hamilton factory nearly a century ago.

The timepiece is encased in our 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
