Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The Hamilton dial on this piece features a concentric center that shifts shadows as the light changes. The numerals are raised and painted gold, while the outer perimeter includes small circles marking each minute and larger circles every five minutes. The dial is clean, well proportioned, and in incredible condition. The original heat-blued hands provide exceptional contrast against the dial and make the watch a pleasure to read. Beneath the dial beats Hamilton’s Grade 902 movement, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1928, the final year this caliber was produced. This 19 jewel in-house movement was manufactured for only a few short years between 1924 and 1928, with just 9,700 units made. The movement has been fully restored and refinished, with each screw and piece of hardware thermally blued by hand, a traditional technique that enhances corrosion resistance and visual contrast (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to revive their original golden luster, while the watch hands remain in their original factory finish, retaining a soft heat blued tone that ties the composition together beautifully.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
