Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The original gilt dial on this Hamilton from 1924 remains in excellent condition, with crisp Arabic numerals, a bold Hamilton signature, and a rich golden finish. The warmth of the dial pairs exceptionally well with the original plum hands, creating strong contrast and a balanced, highly legible layout that draws your eye immediately. This Hamilton timepiece is powered by the Grade 912, which is a 17 jewel in house movement produced from 1923 to 1937 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with this example dating to 1924. Each component was carefully refinished in our Little Rock, Arkansas workshop, with deep blue accents applied to the screws and steel hardware using precise hand thermal treatment over an alcohol lamp (read more here). This traditional watchmaking technique improves corrosion resistance while enhancing the visual character of the movement. The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to restore their original golden luster. The hands remain unrestored, preserving their original heat plum color applied by Hamilton at the time of manufacture, providing a striking and natural contrast against the gilt dial.

The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
