Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Completed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1929, this piece is powered by Hamilton’s Grade 912, a 17 jewel movement produced between 1923 and 1937 and widely regarded as one of Hamilton’s most refined 12s manual wind calibers of the era. The metal dial features a finely engraved guilloché center that shifts in tone as it moves through the light. The original plum hands remain unrestored and still carry the deep violet tone Hamilton achieved during manufacturing, creating striking contrast against the silver dial and tying the entire design together in a way that feels distinctly Hamilton. On the movement side, the watch was fully refinished in our workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas. Screws and steel components were thermally blued by hand over an alcohol lamp, a slow and deliberate process that produces rich blue tones while also improving corrosion resistance (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to bring back their original golden tone and visual warmth. The end result is a movement that once again reflects the level of finishing Hamilton was known for, while still preserving the honest character and history that only a nearly century old American movement can carry.

The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
