Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA in 1933, this timepiece is powered by the Grade 912, a 17-jewel in house movement produced by The Hamilton Watch Company from 1923 to 1937. The guilloché dial features a ship at the center, surrounded by golden Arabic numerals along the perimeter. The outer minute track frames the dial, with golden triangles marking each five minute interval. Rather than being printed, the ship and numerals were cut directly into the dial using a hardened die, removing material to create crisp edges and subtle depth. This process gives the dial a dimensional quality that shifts with the light and adds a level of detail that is difficult to replicate. The original hands were mirror polished to remove corrosion, then heated over an alcohol lamp to restore the iridescent blue hue originally imparted by Hamilton during manufacture. Against the warm dimensions of the dial, they provide sharp contrast and excellent legibility. On the movement side, every component was carefully refinished in our workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. Screws and steel hardware were thermally blued one at a time through controlled heating over an alcohol lamp, a traditional technique that enhances corrosion resistance while adding rich blue contrast to the movement (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to restore their original golden luster. The result is a movement that reflects the brilliance it would have displayed when it first left the Hamilton factory nearly a century ago, while preserving the character that makes these early American movements so compelling today.

The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
