Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This Hamilton timepiece was crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1934 and features a distinctive secometer complication. It is powered by the Hamilton 912 grade, a 17 jewel in house movement produced from 1923 to 1937. All movement components were carefully refinished in our Little Rock workshop, with screws and steel hardware receiving precise hand applied thermal coloring over an alcohol lamp. This traditional watchmaking technique enhances corrosion resistance while adding crisp blue contrast throughout the movement (read more here). The hands remain unrestored and retain their original factory heat bluing applied by Hamilton at the time of manufacture. These hands are especially rare, featuring sculpted flame tips designed to evoke the shape and motion of a candle or match flame. The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to restore their original warm golden sheen. The dial is in excellent condition, displaying bold Arabic numerals and the uncommon secometer layout. In place of a standard sub seconds register at 6:00, a rotating disc tracks the passage of seconds. The deep blue hands stand out sharply against the dial, creating a striking visual contrast that draws the eye each time the watch is checked.

The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
