Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

At the heart of this 1935 Hamilton timepiece lies one of the brand’s most captivating innovations—the secometer complication. Instead of a traditional sub-second hand, the secometer uses a rotating disc to track the passage of seconds, creating a smooth, mesmerizing motion that feels ahead of its time. Watching the disc glide beneath the blued hands is a reminder of just how inventive Hamilton’s engineers were during the golden era of American watchmaking. This piece was crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and powered by Hamilton’s in-house Grade 912—a 17-jewel movement produced from 1923 to 1937 and renowned for its reliability and refined design. Every component has been meticulously refinished: screws and hardware were heat-treated over an open flame for rich blue accents (read more here), while jewel settings, the gear train, balance, and balance weights were each hand-polished to restore their original golden sheen. The dial remains in excellent condition, displaying crisp Arabic numerals that frame the rotating secometer disc. The original Hamilton-blued hands maintain their deep blue tone, pairing beautifully with the blued accents of the movement beneath. Few designs capture both artistry and motion like the Hamilton secometer—a true mechanical signature from America’s golden age of horology.

The timepiece is housed in our 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, expertly engineered with adjustable lugs for easy winding, setting, and a tailored fit across a range of wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, offering water resistance up to 50 meters—though we recommend removing the watch before any water activities. Fully serviced and precisely regulated, this piece is ready for everyday wear and your next adventure alike.
