Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This Hamilton timepiece was manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA, in 1928 and is powered by the 916-grade movement—a Hamilton in-house caliber with 17 jewels, produced exclusively from 1923 to 1928. The movement has been fully restored and refinished with blue accents on the screws and movement hardware, achieved through precise, hand-applied thermal coloring (read more here). The watch hands were not restored and are in their original heat blue condition applied by Hamilton at the time of manufacture. The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were each individually hand-polished to bring back their original golden luster. The metal Hamilton dial showcases a stunning vertically brushed tapestry finish, complemented by applied golden indices that catch and reflect light beautifully. The heat-blued hands provide exceptional contrast, enhancing the dial's elegance and readability.
The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
