Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This Hamilton timepiece was crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1931 and is powered by the 918 grade movement—a 19-jewel in-house caliber produced exclusively from 1928 to 1936. The movement components were meticulously refinished with blue accents on the screws and hardware through precise hand-thermal treatment, a traditional watchmaking technique that improves both corrosion resistance and visual appeal. The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were each hand-polished to restore their original golden sheen. The watch hands remain in their original heat-blued condition and have not been restored. The metal Hamilton dial features stunning golden applied numerals that catch and reflect light beautifully, while the heat-blued hands provide striking contrast—enhancing both elegance and readability.
The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease of winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters; however, it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
