Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This Hamilton timepiece was crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1932 and is powered by the 918 grade movement, a 19 jewel in-house caliber produced exclusively from 1928 to 1936. Movement components were meticulously refinished, with blue accents applied to the screws and steel hardware through precise hand thermal treatment over an alcohol lamp, a traditional watchmaking technique that enhances corrosion resistance and visual depth (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to restore their original golden sheen. The watch hands were polished to a mirror finish to remove corrosion and then individually thermally colored by hand over an alcohol lamp to a rich iridescent blue. The contrast they create against the dial is striking. The original Hamilton metal dial features a beautiful golden guilloche center with crisp Arabic numerals. The outer perimeter includes a highly legible minute track with bold indices at five minute intervals, making the dial both balanced and instantly readable.

The timepiece is encased in our 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease of winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters; however, it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
