Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This Hamilton timepiece was crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1953. Powered by the 921 grade movement—a 21-jewel in-house caliber produced between 1936 and 1954—this watch showcases Hamilton's precision craftsmanship during a pivotal time in history. The movement components were designed to be antimagnetic, incorporating low iron content—a feature especially important due to the growing presence of electromagnetic fields from electronic equipment. Because of this low iron content, we are unable to apply thermal coloring to the movement hardware, preserving its original appearance as it left the factory. The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were each individually hand-polished to restore their original golden luster. The watch hands remain in their original golden color and have not been restored, maintaining their authentic charm. The dial is in excellent condition, with applied golden indices that shimmer in the light—offering a glimpse into the elegance and durability of American watchmaking during one of the most significant eras of the 20th century.

The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
