Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.
This Illinois timepiece was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1915. The watch is powered by the A Lincoln grade movement, which is a 21 jewel Illinois in-house movement that was produced between 1907-1928. The movement has been meticulously restored and refinished with deep blue accents, including the screws, achieved by hand through precise thermal heating of each iron-based component. The watch hands have also been restored to their original deep blue hue using the same thermal treatment process. The Illinois dial features Arabic numerals and beautiful speckled patina.
The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities.
