American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Crafted in Waltham, Massachusetts, and completed in 1903, this Waltham timepiece features the Grade 220 movement—a 15-jewel, in-house Waltham movement produced between 1896 and 1931. The movement has been fully restored and refinished with blue accents on the screws and movement hardware, achieved through precise, hand-applied thermal coloring (read more here). The watch hands in the Louis XIV style remain in their golden condition and have not been restored. The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were each individually hand-polished to bring back their original golden luster. The porcelain-enamel dial, featuring elegant Roman numerals, is in excellent condition. The pairing of the Roman numeral dial with the ornate Louis XIV hands adds just the right touch of elegance.
The timepiece is encased in a surgical grade 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
