American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

This Waltham timepiece features the iconic and traditional railroad porcelain-enamel dial. The dial has highly legible Arabic numerals, a minute track, and red indices at five-minute intervals. This is the dial style that kept American railroads running on time during the Industrial Revolution. The original spade hands were polished to remove corrosion and then thermally colored one at a time to achieve a deep blue hue. This is the same method Waltham used to originally heat blue the hands at the time of manufacture. The restored blue hands provide incredible contrast against the white enamel dial, making time checking a breeze. Beneath the dial sits Waltham's Grade No. 235. Every component was carefully refinished in our workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas. Screws and steel hardware were thermally colored by hand over an open flame, improving corrosion resistance while also producing deep blue accents (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to restore their original golden tone. The result is a piece that balances exceptional clarity on the dial side with a fully revitalized movement beneath, staying true to Waltham's original craftsmanship while making it ready to be worn and appreciated once again.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
