American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Crafted in Waltham, Massachusetts and completed in 1924, this Waltham timepiece is powered by the Riverside grade movement, a 21 jewel in-house caliber produced for a short period between 1922 and 1924. Every movement component has been meticulously refinished. Screws and hardware were given traditional open-flame thermal coloring, producing deep blue accents (read more here). The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand polished to restore their original warm golden luster. The hands were intentionally left unrestored and retain their original plum finish as applied by Waltham at the time of manufacture. The metal Waltham dial features applied golden indices and a finely striped finish that comes alive in changing light and complements the warmth of the indices. Paired with the original plum hands, the dial is both visually striking and exceptionally easy to read.
The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
