Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This exquisite Illinois timepiece, crafted in Springfield, Illinois, was completed in 1917. It features the distinguished 404 grade movement, a 17-jewel in-house movement produced by Illinois between 1911 and 1923. The movement has undergone meticulous restoration and servicing, with special attention given to preserving the original two-tone gilt finish added by Illinois during its manufacture in 1917. The movement components were refinished with stylish blue accents on the screws and movement hardware, achieved through precise hand-thermal treatment. The watch hands have also been restored using the same process. The metal Illinois dial features bold Arabic numerals and a double-sunk design. The dial is clean and easily legible, providing ease in monitoring time.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your future adventures.
